Group Approval Granted for Catfish TAA Applicants

We received word today that Group Approval has been granted to catfish producers that apply or have already applied for benefits under the TAA for Farmers Program for Catfish (Catfish petition # 2010001). TAA applicants in Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, North Carolina, Texas, Louisiana, and California are included in this group approval. This approval by FAS means that applicants that otherwise meet program eligibility requirements are not required to certify or document their eligibility under Options 1, 2, or 3. Applicants are still required to document that they were catfish producers for the 2009 crop and in one of the three immediately preceding marketing years, and to meet other eligibility requirements as provided in 1-SP.

Please contact your local FSA agent to find out more. The application deadline is September 23rd so act quickly to participate in the TAA for Farmers Catfish Program.
